Join us for a week of summer VBS where kids and youth and adults learn about God. After a family dinner, you’ll hear unforgettable music, experience Bible stories, enjoy creating art projects, play fun games and learn some new dance moves. Plus, you’ll meet lots of new friends!
Classes for the ENTIRE family!
VBS at Simi Valley UMC is an intergenerational experience. Children and Youth classes are divided into two main groups: Preschool and elementary children and middle school youth. High school youth are invited to volunteer to help in the children’s program–or to take an adult class they would be interested in.
Preschool and Elementary-aged children (3 and 4-year-olds through 5th grade) will meet in like age and grade groups. Their youth and adult leaders will guide them to various centers to hear, see and participate in great Bible stories, do fun crafts, learn songs and dances, and play games.
Middle school youth (entering 6th–8th grade) will meet together for fun, thought-provoking, and engaging activities and lessons.
Children and youth will begin and end their time together in an assembly gathering that will include singing, movement, each day’s Bible verse, and a time to give an offering. The offering will go to the mission project chosen by this year’s VBS Staff.
Adults may choose from 2 classes or workshops each night. Adult classes include Cooking, Bible Study, Crafts, Prayer Beads, and much more!
Dinner will be provided each night at 5:00 pm.
